Inspect lanyard. On web models, inspect lanyard for the following:
1. Broken stitching
4. Excessive soiling
7. Deteriorated sections
2. Frayed strands
5. Localized wearing
Also inspect for discoloration of the lanyard, possibly caused by
chemical attack, heat, or ultraviolet light. Regularly check lanyard
for the presence of metal or wood splinters on its surface, metal
splinters will reduce the wear resistance of the lanyard.
