Fitness and age significantly affect a person's ability to safely withstand fall arrest
loads.
The following are among the medical conditions that could affect the safety of the
user:
Heart disease/chest pain.
High blood pressure.
Epilepsy, fits, blackouts.
Fear of heights/vertigo.
Impaired limb function.
Alcohol or drug dependence.
Psychiatric illness.
Diabetes.
