SHIFT ROD ASSEMBLY
REMOVING THE SHIFT ROD
ASSEMBLY
Remove:
• Shift rod assembly
NOTE:
Remove the shift rod assembly when the
shift rod is in neutral position.

CHECKING THE SHIFT CAM

Check:
• Shift cam
Wear/damage
INSTALLING THE SHIFT CAM AND
SHIFTER (SHIFT SLIDER TYPE)
Install:
• Shift cam 1
• Shifter 2
• Propeller shaft assembly 3
Installing steps:
(1)Slide until dog clutch 4 is at the"F"
position, then set shifter 2 to propeller
shaft assembly 3.
(2)In this condition, slide clutch dog 4 to
the "N" position, and hold shifter 2 to
propeller shaft assembly 3.
(3)Set shift cam 1 to shifter 2, then insert
into the lower case.
NOTE:
• Install with the shift cam and shifter set to
the propeller shaft assembly
• Set the shift cam with "F" mark upward
and forward.
INSTALLING THE SHIFT CAM

(PLUNGER SHIFT TYPE)

Install:
• Shift cam
NOTE:
Set the "UP" mark upward.
