Service :
y Service can be performed while the trolley is connected to the terminal and by using outer doors, or after the trolley has
been disconnected from the terminal:
- in order to disconnect the trolley, depress pedal H;
- remove the trolley and close the doors if you wish to move it.
- a 3 min forced cooling cycle is launched. This cycle allows fast temperature drop of the terminal to connect a new trol-
ley.
- to connect a new trolley, wait for about ten minutes for the forced cooling cycle to end;
- if you no longer use the terminal, change the magnetized door on the front face before the end of the cooling cycle.
Failures :
y When energising, nothing happens:
- check electrical supply.
- depress switch 1.
y The trolley presence indicator light 2 does not come on when connecting the trolley:
- the trolley is not properly connected.
y During reheating or temperature hold, upper enclosure heating does not operate:
- the safety thermostat has tripped, consult your dealer.
y Messages appear on displays 4:
- «dEF1» the cold control sensor is faulty.
- «dEF2» the hot control sensor is faulty.
Consult your dealer.
y Decrease to cold temperature is not as quick as usual:
- the condenser is fouled, clean it (see below).
- the evaporator is fouled, clean it (see below).
MAINTENANCE
y Wait for both apparatuses to have cooled down.
y Trolley :
the trolley may be washed with a low pressure water jet.
y Terminal :
The front part alone may be washed with a low pressure water jet.
y Condenser cleaning:
- condenser cleaning must be performed by a customer service.
- remove the back door and the deflector fastened with 2 screws.
- clean the condenser with a vacuum cleaner.
- should the condenser be too fouled, remove the complete cold unit.
- reinstall the rear portion and the deflector.
y Evaporator cleaning:
- remove the front metal panel.
- remove the stainless steel box located on the RH side of the evaporator by pulling it (see diagram below).
- clean the evaporator with a vacuum cleaner or a low pressure water jet.
y Products to be used :
General information on stainless steel : The term "stainless steel" can cause some confusion. It is steel which "resists" to
corrosion in certain conditions.
Any type of stainless steel can be corroded:
- austenitic, e.g. "stainless steel 304" also called 18/10.
- ferritic, e.g. "F17" or "F18TNb".
Resistance to corrosion of stainless steel results from the existence of a passive layer of chromium oxide which is renewed
spontaneously when in contact with the air. Any phenomenon interfering with the creation of this layer is likely to cause
corrosion.
This is why stainless steel surfaces must be regularly rid of miscellaneous contamination which may damage the level of
resistance of the passive layer, and also ensure the maintenance steps are observed. (Preparation to cleaning / cleaning /
rinsing / disinfection / rinsing / drying).
Regular maintenance with extended rinsing with water is the best method to renew and maintain the passive layer.
Each of the steps linked with maintenance presents risks of damaging the passive layer: using hard water / overdosing
detergents / using chlorine-based detergents / food residue on the products / insufficient rinsing.....
Whenever corrosion appears, the element or step having led to it must be identified.
