1.
Position the lifting device over the load's center of gravity.
2.
Ensure that the entire suction plate area is mounted on the load.
3.
Secure load using load safety chain.
•
Lift the device with the sucked load just a little (approx.. 20-30 cm)
•
Throw the safety chain underneath the load (concrete slab) .
Never grip with the hands under load. - Caution: Danger of squeezing hands!!!
•
Suspend and tighten both safety chains. Place the end of the chains into the chain cases.
•
The safety chain must fit tightly to the load (see following figure), in that way that the load is held
in case of a vacuum failure
•
The safety chain must never hang loose under the load, otherwise the load may fall down, in
case of a vacuum failure . Danger of accident!
4. Do not lift the load at an angle.
5.
Switch on the energy supply.
→ Light flashes until the vacuum reaches -0.6 bar.
6. Actuate operating element (see figure above according to model).
7.
Watch the gauge. Lift the load as soon as the vacuum reaches -0.6 bar (manometer pointer is in the
green zone).
Guiding the load
WARNING
33/43
Risk of injury from uncontrolled movement of the lifting device
►
Use the handle to guide the load.
Maintain a safe distance.
►
Always keep the path and load in eyesight.
Do not walk in front of the load.
Tripping hazard
The load swings in the direction of movement when horizontal travel
stops.
►
Always transport loads as close to the ground as possible and adjust
transport speed to the working conditions.
►
Do not jerk the lifting device as this could cause the device to rotate or
swing.
