This roller makes use of wireless ANT data transmission
technology, which allows the RealAxiom B+ programme
to communicate with the roller without a cable and
using only a USB ANT key for connecting to the PC.
The console also has a 4-button touch pad allowing the
software to be used even when seated on the bicycle. In
fact, thanks to the keys on the console, you can change
screens and manage the various programme functions
without getting off the bicycle.
The keys use "touch" technology, i.e. without mechanical
components, which detects the presence of a finger.
On the front part of the console there are three LED's
used to indicate console status.
Radio communication uses the frequency of 2.4Ghz.
The Elite RealAxiom B+ roller also allows the display
of speed and cadence data from cycle computers that
are compatible with the ANT+ protocol. Simply enter a
63 mm circumference in the cycle computer settings
and sync the Elite RealAxiom B+ resistance unit with
the cycle computer, as indicated in the manufacturer's
manual.
The console is powered by two AAA batteries
that need to be inserted into the battery case on
the bottom of the console. After a few minutes
of inactivity the console automatically turns off
in order to increase battery life. To restart, just
touch any key, an LED will then start blinking,
indicating that the console is ready to be
connected to the computer or for "Stand Alone"
mode (see following paragraph).
Put old batteries in the special
containers
Do not disperse in the environment
If the battery is replaced with
one of the wrong type there will be risk of
explosion

HEART RATE MONITOR

Elite RealAxiom B+ incorporates a receiver for
chest-band heart rate monitors.
This allows it to measure your heart rate while trai-
ning and visualise it on the monitor.
The heart rate monitor receiver of the RealAxiom
B+ is compatible with all "ANT+" type transmitters.

SLOPE

The maximum simulatable slope on the RealAxiom
B+ is a function of speed and the weight of the
individual rider. In fact, the power required to
pedal up a slope is function of the speed (faster=
more power) and of the weight (the heavier the
rider, the more power is required to climb any
given slope). Each rider has a maximum slope
given his weight [i.e., for a 60kg (130lbs) cyclist at
24Km/h (15mph) the maximum simulatable slope
is about 10%].

POWER

The power the RealAxiom B+ roller can develop
is among the highest of rollers available on
the market, and this enables simulation of the
majority of courses.
Power range
The power range covered by the roller is very wide
and depends on the speed. The faster you pedal,
the wider the power range. Nevertheless there
may be extreme conditions where the required
power is outside of the range (too high or too low).
In these cases the roller delivers the maximum/
minimum
possible,
correctly as soon as the conditions return to
being compatible with the power deliverable
by the RealAxiom B+. When the required power
is outside the available power range, the roller
displays on the monitor the actual power it is
producing and not the theoretical power.
Accuracy between power on the screen and
resistance generated
Regarding the system for measuring the power,
it should be pointed out that the RealAxiom B+
is not an ergometer* and therefore does not
and
resumes
working
