Trouble Shooting Information
Should you encounter problems operating your Spiro USB meter,
please consult the table below:
Problem
Does not register a
blow
Blows are inverted
on the display
Blows tracing ends
abruptly although
patient still exhaling
Calibration procedure

Solution
Replacement of head
assembly or return the
unit for servicing
Replacement of head
assembly or return the
unit for servicing
Clean turbine in warm
soapy water or sterilising
solution, if problem
continues a replacement
turbine may be required
Repeat calibration
procedure, if problem
still persists, replace
turbine or return unit for
servicing
Ensure the syringe is
fitted to the turbine
using the adapter
supplied part # 861427.
(supplied with the
syringe)
Ensure you are using
manufacturer
recommended syringe.
The syringe should be
emptied and filled with
one smooth stroke,
avoid pushing down on
the shaft or banging at
the end of each
manoeuver.
