Mounting the Spring Units for NEURO SWING 2
1 Assemble the stop damper (2) and the sliding bushing (3) with the plunger
(1; fig. 15).
2 Put the pressure spring (4) on it.
3 Insert the plunger (1) including the assembled system components (2, 3 ,4)
in the spring duct.
4 Stick the screw unit (6) onto the spring unit (5).
5 Screw the sub-assembly for the dorsiflexion into the anterior spring duct
until the required alignment of the orthosis is achieved. The pressure
spring (4) must be completely compressed.
6 Screw the sub-assembly for the plantar flexion into the posterior spring
duct until it touches the system stirrup (fig. 15). The pressure spring (4)
must be completely compressed. Do not preload the spring units (5).
7 Make sure that there is no play in the system joint. Check this by slightly
moving the system joint in the ap direction.
8 Make sure that the system joint is aligned with the degree marking.
Please note that for the NEURO SWING 2 you must use different
spring units than for the other system ankle joints.

8.6 Assembly of the SPRING Sub-Assembly

For system ankle joints without SPRING sub-assembly, skip these steps and
continue the assembly at paragraph 8.7.
1 Stick the ball (1) into the pin (2; fig. 16).
2 Insert the system components into the spring duct.
3 Insert the pressure spring (3) into the spring duct.
4 Screw in the pressure screw (4) tightly. In doing so, the sub-assembly is
attached to the cover plate.

8.7 Mounting the Adjusting Screw Unit

For system ankle joints without an adjusting screw unit, skip these steps and
continue the assembly at paragraph 8.8.
1 Screw the adjusting screw unit into the screw unit duct (fig. 17). In the
desired dorsiflexion, the pressure spring must be completely compressed.
2 Make sure that the system joint is aligned with the degree marking.
