b) Operation
• Two separate instructions for the remote control and the charger are included. Always follow all the
safety information as well as all other information! Numerous hazards are associated with improper
handling of the charger.
• Only use suitable drive batteries for the vehicle. Never power the speed controller with a power adapter,
even for test purposes.
• This vehicle is only suitable for use with two identical LiPo drive batteries with 2 cells (nominal voltage
7.4 V). Never use different types of LiPo drive batteries together.
Drive batteries with more cells may cause a risk of fire due to speed controller overheating, which may
result in the vehicle drive (e.g. differential) being overloaded and eventually damaged. This will void the
warranty!
• Two identical LiPo drive batteries (same manufacturer, same type, same capacity) that have the same
charge level must always be used. Using two LiPo drive batteries with different charge levels may lead
to deep discharge of one of them (the one with a lower charge level) and thus permanently damage it. In
addition, there is a risk of fire and explosion due to deep discharge.
Therefore, make sure you only use two fully charged LiPo drive batteries in the vehicle.
• When putting the device into operation, always turn on the transmitter first. Only then can the drive
battery of the vehicle be connected to the speed controller and the speed controller be switched on.
Otherwise, the vehicle might react unpredictably.
Proceed as follows:
- Before connecting the drive battery, place the vehicle on a suitable surface so that all wheels can
move freely.
- Switch off the speed controller.
- Switch on the transmitter, if you have not already done so. Check that it functions correctly (e.g.
transmitter's power indicator).
- On the transmitter, set the trim for the throttle/brake function to the central position.
- Connect a fully charged drive battery to the speed controller ensuring that the polarity is correct (red
cable = positive/+, black cable = negative/-).
- Turn on the speed controller. Wait for a few seconds until the speed controller has completed a self-
test.
- Check that the vehicle responses to the remote control commands as expected (steering and drive)
before removing it from the support and placing the wheels on the ground.
- If the drive does not work as desired, please refer to the "Troubleshooting" section.
