d) Taking the Transmitter into Operation
• First, put the two trim controllers "STEERING TRIM" (figure 1, item 5) and "THROTTLE TRIM" (figure 1, item 7) into
the middle position.
• Check if the slider "STEERING REV." (figure 1, item 8) is in the position "N".
• Switch on the transmitter. Then the red LED (figure 1, item 6) starts to flash quickly. Now take the vehicle into opera-
tion; see next section.
e) Taking the Vehicle into Operation
• Leave the throttle/brake lever (figure 1, item 3) at the transmitter in its neutral position (do not touch/move the lever).
• Switch on the transmitter if you haven't done so already; observe chapter 10. d).
• Place the vehicle on an appropriate surface so that the wheels can turn freely. Never reach into the drive, and do
not stop the wheels with your hand.
• Now switch on the vehicle. Move the slider (see circle in
the figure on the right) into the position "I" (= on).
• The red LED on the receiver/controller unit and the red
LED at the transmitter flash quickly.
After a few seconds, both LEDs should stop flashing; the
transmitter and receiver are now connected.
The vehicle is now ready for operation and will react to
the control commands at the transmitter.
The red LED (figure 1, item 6) at the transmitter flashes quickly during the search for the receiver in the
vehicle. When the transmitter has recognised the receiver in the vehicle, the LED will remain lit.
If the LEDs are still flashing quickly after 10 seconds, switch off the transmitter and the vehicle. Then switch
on the transmitter and then the vehicle again.
If the red LED in the transmitter flashes slowly, the batteries in the transmitter are weak and must be re-
placed by new ones.
• If the vehicle motor starts even through you did not move the throttle/brake lever at the transmitter, set the trim with
the trim controller "THROTTLE TRIM" (figure 1, item 7) so that the motor stops.
• The trim controller "STEERING TRIM" (figure 1, item 8) for the steering should be in the centre position. For this, the
wheels are in parallel with the vehicle chassis. The trim controller for the steering is set precisely later when running
the vehicle.
f) Attaching the Car Body
Now put the car body onto the vehicle and attach it by the 2 clips removed at the start.
