2. General safety instructions /
For your safety
This machine has been constructed accor-
ding to the current state of the art and ac-
cepted safety rules. It has been inspected
electronically and complies with European
safety standards. It makes use of various cir-
cuit breakers that serve as protective devi-
ces.
Nevertheless, risks may arise, primarily as
the result of improper use or non–observan-
ce of the rules and instructions contained in
this manual.

2.1 Safety hazards

Electrical voltage / electrical current
Warning!
The cable connection between batteries and
machine (G1) must be removed before any
work is performed on electrical components.
Contact with voltage or current incurs the
risk of an electrical shock that may result in
severe injury or even death.
Before any work is performed on electrical
components, the machine must always be
turned off and isolated from battery voltage by
pulling the emergency stop connector (G1).
Moving machine and moving parts
Warning!
– The moving machine and rotating brus-
hes pose the risk of injury.
– Keep hands and feet away from the brushes.
– Avoid contact with clothing or hair.
Other hazards
Warning! The formation of a short circuit across
the terminals of a battery by a hand or conduc-
tive object poses the risk of injury or burns.

2.2 Improper use

Any use of the machine other than for the
purpose described under «Proper use» or
as contractually agreed is prohibited.
Operation of the machine in a technically im-
perfect condition or in disregard of the follo-
wing rules is prohibited:
– Safety features must not be dismantled or
bypassed.
– Rebuilding or making alterations to the
product is prohibited.
– Damage caused by improper handling or
misuse in disregard of these instructions
will void the warranty. Wetrok accepts no
liability for consequential damage or loss.
2.3 Emergency switch-off / Emergen-
cy stop
This machine is equipped with:
– An electromagnetic parking brake, activa-
ted when the current is off.
– An emergency stop connector near the
driver's seat for interrupting the power
supply in an emergency or during servi-
cing (see Fig. G and H).
– Pause function when vehicle driver is not
present. This prevents the machine from
accidentally travelling without a driver.
– Mechanical belt brake with foot pedal (A6).
2.4 Organizational matters
It is the responsibility of the operator to en-
sure that
– the machine is used only by persons who
have been instructed in its operation and
are expressly authorized for its use
– accepted work safety rules are complied
with
– any further state or internal company re-
gulations are observed
– all operators are familiar with the safety
rules and have received product-specific
training in the use of the machine
– all operators have read and understood
the operating instructions before using
the machine
– responsibilities for the operation, mainte-
nance and repair of the machine are cle-
arly defined and adhered to
– malfunctions and damage are reported
immediately to the service facility
2.5 Emergencies / In an emergency:
– Administer first aid immediately.
When incidents occur, do not put machine
back into operation before it has been in-
spected by Wetrok or by technical staff au-
thorized by Wetrok.
2.6 Before the machine is put into
operation / Initial operation
Delivery; instruction in safety rules, opera-
tion and maintenance; and initial operation
are normally performed by a Wetrok-authori-
zed technician. If this is not the case, then
the operator is responsible for instructing
those who work with the machine.
A new battery does not deliver full power un-
til after approx. 5 – 10 charge and discharge
cycles. A significantly shortened operating
time per charging indicates that the batteries
are exhausted and must be replaced.
Risk-free work with the unit is possible only
if you read the operating instructions and sa-
fety information in their entirety and strictly
