2. General safety
instructions
The machine is designed and constructed
according to the present state of the art and
recognized technical safety standards. It is
electrically tested and satisfies European Safety
Standards. Dangers can occur in spite of this,
particularly in case of improper use or non-
compliance with the specifications and in-
formation in the Operating Instructions.
2.1. Sources of danger
2.2. Improper usage
Any usage of the machine not covered under the
«Prescribed usage» or for a purpose not con-
tractually agreed is not permissible.
Use of the machine in an unserviceable condition
or not in compliance with the following regula-
tions is prohibited:
– Protective devices shall not be removed or
bypassed.
– Conversions and modifications to the pro-
duct are not permitted.
2.3. Organizational points
It is the responsibility of the operator to ensure
that:
– the machine is used only by persons who
have been instructed in its handling and
authorized to use it.
– the recognized occupational safety regu-
lations are observed.
– any further national or company regulations
are observed.
– all users are acquainted with the safety
regulations and trained in the use of the
specific machine.
– all users have read and understood the
Operating Instructions before using the
machine.
– responsibilities for the operation, mainte-
nance and repair of the machine are clearly
assigned and observed.
– faults and damage are immediately notified to
the Service Agent.
2.4. Emergencies
After incidents, do not resume operation with the
machine until it has been inspected by Wetrok.
2.5. Operating for the first time
Delivery, instruction on safety rules, handling and
maintenance, as well as operation for the first
time, are normally carried out by a specialist
approved by Wetrok. Where this is not the case,
the operator is responsible for instructing the
users. Further safety instructions concerning
operation and maintenance are detailed in the
relevant sections and must be complied with
without fail!

3. Operating

(Figs. B and C)
3.1. Safety instructions
The machine shall only be put into operation if:
– the voltage indicated on the nameplate is
identical to that available in the building.
– it is fitted with a Type H circuit breaker for a
rated current of at least 10 A or a 10 A fuse
link.
Attention!:
– After use and before servicing the machine:
pull out the mains connector plug.
– Never run over electrical cables.
Danger of electric shock!
– Defective supply cables shall only be
replaced by PVC sheathed cables 3x1 mm
HO 5vv-F to DIN 58281/VDE 0281, with
deviations to VDE 0730 Part 2 ZM.
– The machine must be put into operation with
the shaft in the inclined position.
3.2. Mounting and detaching the
attachment (brushes or pad drive
disc)
3.2.1. Mounting
Lay the pad drive disc with pad or brush flat on
the floor. Place the machine with lowered shaft
directly onto the attachment. (The machine must
be absolutely level and centred over the
attachment). Move the shaft horizontally to and
fro until the machine engages the coupling of the
attachment. Only then switch on the motor (Fig.
B).
3.2.2. Detaching
Decoupling the brushes or pad drive disc. Push
the machine shaft (in the working position)
downwards until the working element is
completely raised off the ground. By turning the
pad anticlockwise by hand or by foot, the
working element is ejected from the bayonet
coupling.
3.3. Filling with cleaning liquid
Place the shaft in the upright position by means
of the adjusting lever (A 6). Fill with the required
cleaning liquid.
3.4. Adjusting the machine
3.4.1. Lateral guidance
The lateral guidance may be adjusted with the
adjusting screw (C 2). If the machine pulls to the
right, turn the screw to the right. Otherwise turn
it to the left.
3.4.2. Forward motion
Place the shaft in the upright position. Switch on
motor and water feed. Press adjusting screw
(C 1) slowly forwards until the machine slows
moves forward by itself.
3.4.3. Adjusting the suction nozzle
Using the adjusting screw (C 3), adjust the angle
of the suction lips to the floor. The nozzle
assembly should be tilted slightly backward so
that the rear lips are pressed onto the floor
sufficiently.
3.5. Execution of cleaning work
Before starting work, remove loose dirt from the
floor to be cleaned.
3.5.1. Choice of cleaning agent and
working element
The choice of a suitable pad (or brush), and of the
cleaning agent depends on the cleaning system
(maintenance / interim / basic cleaning). Do not
use strongly foaming cleaning agents or
inflammable solvents!
3.5.1.1. Basic cleaning
Use Wetrok Antiwax or Wetrok Rewit (dosage
according to label on container).
Smooth floors: pad drive disc with Wetrok
Polypad; floors with a rough surface, e.g. sawn
natural stone: scrubbing brush or Super-Nylon
brush.
It is advisable to moisten soiled floors first with the
mop (mobile bucket filled with cleaning solution)
and to allow the solution to act for a few minutes.
This work can also be carried out with a Wetrok
Servomatic 43, whereby the nozzle must be lifted
and the suction motor switched off.
3.5.1.2. Interim cleaning
Use Wetrok Resal or Refor (dosage according to
2
label on container) and pad drive disc with
Wetrok Polypad green or red.
Spray cleaning: use Elfspray with spray unit
(dosage according to label on container)
and pad drive disc with Wetrok Polypad
green or red.
