16.1 Cleaning
Incorrect cleaning agents can attack the machine's paint. Do not use any aggressive
solvents, nitro thinners or other cleaning agents that could damage the paint of the
machine. Observe the specifications and instructions of the cleaning agent
manufacturer! Avoid any contact of the solvent with the belts or other rubber parts.
The machine has been provided with a corrosion protection agent prior to shipment. This greasy
protective layer must be completely removed before the machine is put into operation. Use a
suitable grease solvent or (acid-free) light oil for this purpose.
As a result, regular cleaning is a prerequisite for the safe operation of the machine and its long
service life. Therefore, clean the machine after each use, but at least once a week. Use a brush, a
hand brush or a vacuum cleaner to remove material residues (chips, etc.).
16.2 Maintenance
Danger due to electrical voltage! Handling the machine while it is connected to
the mains can lead to serious injuries or death. Always disconnect the machine from
the power supply before servicing or maintenance work and secure it against
unintentional restarting!
The removal of defects is the responsibility of your specialist dealer. Repair work may
only be carried out by qualified personnel.
The machine is low-maintenance and only a few parts require maintenance. Nevertheless, any
faults or defects which may affect the safety of the user must be rectified immediately!
Before each operation, check that the safety devices are in perfect condition.

Check the screw connections for tightness at least once a week.

Regularly check that the warning and safety labels on the machine are in perfect and

legible condition.
16.2.1 Maintenance schedule
The type and degree of machine wear depend to a large extent on the operating conditions. The
following intervals apply when the machine is used within the specified limits:

Activity
Lubricate the grease nipples before each start-up.
Lubricate the spindle gear with machine oil or light
grease.
Check whether there is sufficient lubricant on the
sliding surfaces and, if necessary, relubricate the
surfaces if there is no lubricant coating.
