15.2.5 Adjusting table guide and wear compensation
The machine is equipped with a gib strip which can be used to compensate for signs of wear and
excessive loose adjustment of the longitudinal and transverse movements.
Turn the gib strip clockwise with a wide screwdriver if the play is too large or counterclockwise if
the play is too small.
Adjust the gib strip bolt (see illustration above) so that slight resistance is felt when the table is
moved.
15.2.6 Locking table feed and base plate of the machine
For milling with longitudinal feed, it is recommended to block the cross feed of the table to ensure
precise machining.
To do this, tighten the small flat leaf screw on the right side of the base plate of the table (see
illustration above).
If you want to block the longitudinal feed of the table during transverse milling, tighten the two
flat leaf screws at the front of the table base plate (see illustration above).
Adjustable stops on the front of the table allow a variable stop when milling lengthwise.
