15.4 Drilling
Increased risk of crushing or pulling in! Do not wear work gloves when
drilling/milling, but wear close-fitting clothing and, if necessary, a hair net and do not
touch between drill head and sleeve.
15.4.1 Preparing the Drilling Operation (with manual feed)
Das
Loosing the clamping screw. The stroke must then be adjusted. You can either set the
drilling depth using a fixed depth stop if you want to drill blind holes, holes with the
same depth or you can do without a stop if you want to drill through holes. Set the
drilling depth stop:
1. Release the drill depth stop.
2. Adjust the desired drilling depth using the scale.
3. Fix the drilling depth stop again afterwards.
15.4.2 Drilling Operation
1. Insert the drill bit into the drill chuck and tighten carefully.
2. Set the drilling depth with the knurled screw (16) at the depth stop. The depth can be
measured on the depth stop scale.
3. Set the operating mode selection switch (1) to Drilling.
4. Start the machine by pressing the switch "Clockwise rotation" (10) or
"Counterclockwise rotation" (11).
5. Use the feed spindle (lateral) to turn the spindle counterclockwise downwards
towards the workpiece. (The spindle is moved back to its starting position by spring
force.)
15.5 Milling
15.5.1 Preparing the Milling Operation (with manual feed)
1. Set the drilling depth stop to the highest position.
2. Firmly tighten the star grip to adjust the force required for frictional engagement between
the worm gear and the drill cross support.
3. Then turn the handwheel and adjust the spindle according to the machining height of the
workpiece.
4. Clamp the sleeve with the sleeve clamping lever to the desired height.

WARNING
Open the drill chuck guard
1.
Remove the morse taper for drilling
2.
Insert the Morse taper for milling tools
and tighten it with the spindle screw (S).
3.
Close the drill chuck guard.
You can remove the Morse taper for milling tools by loosening the
spindle screw and driving out the morse taper by lightly tapping on it.
