15.6 Cutting threads
When thread cutting, the tool must always be positioned exactly perpendicular to the
material!
Clamp the workpiece well.

Drill / countersink core hole. Ø corresponds to the core diameter - see table lists - of the
thread. This is approx. 1/10mm smaller than the thread size.
Press the feed spindle (3) inwards and secure it with the clamping screw.

Select the thread operating mode on the control panel (see illustration on page 8).
Set the required speed using the speed table.

Set the thread depth with the knurled screw at the drilling depth stop. (When the set depth
is reached, the direction of rotation changes automatically, and the tap moves upwards from
the workpiece.)
Switch on coolant supply and open valve or use tapping oil.

Start the machine by pressing the Start key (15).
•
Countersink the spindle with a tap into the core hole and have the tap cut/drilled.
When the tap has reached the preset depth, the direction of rotation changes automatically and
the tap turns out of the workpiece again.
15.7 Removing Tools
15.7.1 Removing the Milling Cutter Holder
1. Loosen the tightening bolt at the top of the spindle by about two turns using a pin wrench.
2. Tap the loosened tightening bolt of the shaft briefly from above with a wooden hammer.
3. When the tool holder comes loose from the spindle, hold the tool with one hand and
unscrew the tightening bolt with the other.
15.7.2 Removing the chuck/morse taper

NOTE
1.
Turn the spindel downwards and insert the turn the spindle by
hand until the slot appears.
2.
Insert the drill drift.
3.
Fix the chuck/morse taper by hand and hit the drill drift lightly
with a hammer, this will push out the taper.
