Cleaning the backwater preventer
If necessary, close the shut-off valve (12)
the circlip (available as an accessory)
Remove and clean the backflow preventer (1). To do so,
unscrew screws (10) and (11) (see "Cleaning the sys-
tem", page 40 ) and push out the backflow preventer
(1) sidewards.
CAUTION
Make sure the rolling ring fits properly.
To prevent damage to the rolling ring, apply
KESSEL high-performance grease (art. no.
681001).
Replace the rolling ring in case of porosity, dry-
ness or wear.
Remount the backflow preventer (1). Make sure that the
backwash device (2) is in a vertical position as shown.
Close the service access cover (5).
If necessary, re-open the shut-off valve or circlip.
Carry out a functional check as described in the "Com-
missioning" chapter, see "Commissioning", page 38
