The Mobile Companion application is used to guide the installer at the installation site. The installation
process is different depending on the power solution selected.

3.1
Scouting the Mounting Location
Upon arriving at the installation site, gather the necessary information about the site characteristics for later
entry into the Mobile Companion application.
Prerequisites: Obtain the following items:

Measuring Tool (50–100 feet)
●
Optional: Marking Chalk
●
Ladder (8–14 feet reach)
●
Mobile Phone
Procedure:
1. Identify the mounting location.
NOTE: For information on mounting requirements, refer to
2. Note the side of the road, right or left, that the mounting point is on, relative to the direction of passing
traffic.
3. Note the number of lanes being monitored, one or two.
4. Use the Measuring Tool to determine and note the distance of two lines: A and B.
Description
Indicates a camera with a paused installation.
Resumes a paused installation for the selected
camera.
Advances to the next installation step screen.
Returns to the previous installation step screen.
Pauses the installation at the current step and re-
turns to the Cameras screen.
Opens a list of installation steps for jumping to an-
other step.
Skips the installation process and opens the Aim-
ing screen.
