a. Align one of the Camera Batteries so that the gold contacts are facing up and towards the center
of the Battery Tray.
b. Slide the battery into one of the Battery Tray slots.
c. Repeat for the other Camera Battery.
When the Camera Batteries are properly installed, the gold contacts face each other.
4. Install the Battery Tray into the camera:
a. Extend the security screws on the Battery Tray.
b. Hold the camera in the upright position.
c. Align the Battery Tray with the arrow facing towards the front of the camera.
The front of the camera is the side with the camera lens, opposite the mounting ball.
d. Slide the Battery Tray into the battery compartment.
CAUTION: If the battery tray is backwards, the tray will not slide into the compartment. Do
not force the Battery Tray into the battery compartment.
e. Press firmly on the battery tray to seat the tray into the camera.
f.
Check that the battery tray is flush with the camera housing to ensure that the camera is resistant
to dust and water ingress.
g. Tightly secure the two security screws with the Pin and Torx Tool.

Battery Charging
The internal Camera Batteries must be fully charged before proceeding with Hardware Installation. For solar
panel deployments, the Solar Panel Batteries must also be fully charged. Charging all batteries at the same
time is recommended, as they have similar charging times (6-8 hours).
NOTE: Failure to fully charge the Camera Batteries and Solar Panel Batteries before installation may
cause the batteries to deplete before there is sufficient power to keep the batteries charged under load.
2.7.1
Charging the Camera Batteries
Prior to installation, the internal Camera Batteries must be charged using the included USB-C cable. A
USB-C power source capable of 25 W is recommended. Lower amperage USB power sources charge the
camera batteries very slowly.
