7. Securely tighten the Hex Bolts (2x) with the Hex Key Tool.
8. Remove the Shoulder Strap from the Solar Panel.
9. Optional: Install the Expansion Solar Panel:
a. Repeat the Solar Panel mounting process from
b. On the Expansion Solar Panel, connect the free connector on the double-connector end of each
Y-cable to the connectors on the primary Solar Panel.
c. Connect the single-connector end of each Y-cable on the Expansion Solar Panel to the battery
connectors on the primary Solar Panel.
NOTE: The connectors are mated such that they will only connect with the correctly
polarized plugs.

Installing AC Power
The AC 120 V External Power option requires an existing AC power outlet installed by a certified electrician.
Mounting of the 120 V AC Power Adapter and cable management is dependent on the camera mounting
location and distance to the power source.
Prerequisites: Obtain the following:
120 V AC Power Adapter
Zip-Tie (1x)
Procedure:
1. Plug the 120 V AC Power Adapter into a furnished AC power outlet.
2. Check the power cable length.
a. Run the AC adapter power cable to the approximate location of the camera.
b. Use a Zip-Tie to secure the end of the cable in place.

Installing DC Power
The 12 V DC External Power option requires an existing DC power facility installed by a certified electrician. It
is necessary to splice together the wires of the power source and the DC Power Cable. Cable management is
dependent on the camera mounting location and distance to the power source.
Prerequisites: Obtain the following:
12 V DC Power Cable
Wire Snips
Wire Shrink Wrap or Electrical Tape
Procedure:
1. Splice the conductors from the DC power source to the conductors of the 12 V DC Power Cable.
a. Use the Wire Snips to strip the ends of each conductor.
Strip off one-half to one inch of insulation as necessary.
