AUTHORISED / NON-AUTHORISED FUELS
Logs are the only authorized fuel. Use only dry logs (maximum water content 20%). A maximum of
3 logs should be loaded. The pieces of wood should be approximately 20-30 cm long and have a
maximum circumference of 30-35 cm.
Compressed, unworked wood briquettes must be used with care to avoid overheating,
which could damage the appliance, as they have a very high calorific value.
Wood used as fuel must have a moisture content of less than 20% and must be stored in a dry
place. Damp wood tends to burn less easily, as more energy is required to evaporate the existing
water. In addition, damp content has the disadvantage that, as the temperature drops, the water
condenses earlier in the firebox and therefore in the chimney, causing a noticeable deposit of soot,
with a consequent risk of fire.
Fresh wood contains around 60% H2O, so it is not suitable for combustion.
This wood should be stored in a dry, ventilated area (e.g. under a roof) for at least two years
before use.
In addition to others, the following may not be burnt coal, rubble, waste bark and panels,
damp wood or wood treated with paints, plastics; in these cases, the appliance warranty
becomes null and void.
Paper and cardboard should only be used to light the fire.
Burning rubbish is FORBIDDEN and would even damage the appliance and the flue, causing
damage to health and complaints from neighbors because of the bad smell.
Wood is not a fuel that allows the appliance to run continuously, so heating all night is not possible.

CAUTION: the continuous and prolonged use of aromatic woods (eucalyptus, myrtle etc.)
rapidly damages the cast iron parts (cleavage) of the product.
The technical data declared has been obtained by burning class "A1" beech wood according to the
requirement EN ISO 17225-5 and with a wood moisture content of less than 20%. By burning
another type of wood, the efficiency of the product itself may change and some specific
adjustments to the appliance may be necessary.
