When the Symphony Standard card is installed:
You will not need to select a pumping program. The card contains the 2-Phase
Expression technology and will start with the stimulation phase. See chapter 7.2
for further information.
When the Symphony PLUS card is installed:
Until secretory activation (milk 'coming in') or a maximum of 5 days:
Use the INITIATE program from birth until secretory activation has occurred, as
indicated by:
• Pumping 20 mL or more from both breasts combined, during one pumping session.
OR
• Physiological markers, such as breast fullness.
If secretory activation has not occurred after 5 completed days, switch to the
MAINTAIN program.
After secretory activation (milk 'coming in') or from day 6:
Use the MAINTAIN program after secretory activation has occurred, as indicated by:
• Pumping 20 mL or more from both breasts combined, during one pumping session.
OR
• Physiological markers, such as breast fullness.
OR
• From day 6, whichever comes first.
