Cleaning and care
7.1
Cleaning the cowl outer part
To prevent adhesion of combustion residues, Truma rec-
ommends regular cleaning of the cowl outer part
To clean it, use a soft sponge and a plastic cleaning
product for the outside area
NOTICE
Damage to the furnace caused by water in
the wall cowl
When cleaning the vehicle with a high-pres-
sure water blaster, avoid the area around the
wall cowl
7.2
Cleaning the water system
With a new Combi G or if the device has not been
used for some time, rinse all hot / cold water lines
with drinking water thoroughly before use
If the water container is not used for long periods,
legionella and other microorganisms can breed in
standing water
Regularly sterilise and descale the water container of
the furnace All cleaning products from camping spe-
cialists are suitable for cleaning, sterilisation and care
We also recommend that you heat the water in the
water container to 158 °F (70 °C) regularly to prevent
microorganisms breeding
Set water temperature to Hot (140 °F / 60 °C)
Switch on device
Once the water in the water container has reached a
temperature of 140 °F (60 °C), the burner will switch
off Leave the device switched on for at least 30 min-
utes and do not draw any hot water The residual heat
in the heat exchanger will heat the water up to 158 °F
(70 °C)
To descale the water container, use commercial descal-
ing products, vinegar essence or citric acid
Fill the water container with cleaning or descaling
products in the correct mixing ratio via the water
inlet and allow them to work
Then rinse the water container thoroughly with clean
water

Maintenance and servicing
If the Combi G is filled with water, heat it at least
once per month for approx 30 min (see "Cleaning
the water system")
The pressure relief / drain valve must be operated
regularly (at least twice annually) to remove limes-
cale deposits and to be certain that it is not blocked
The exhaust double duct (exhaust gas sound muffler
and air intake duct) must be inspected regularly,
especially after long trips, to ensure that it is not
damaged and that it is firmly connected; the same
applies to the device and wall cowl fixing

Fuses
8.1.1 Fuses 12 V
DANGER
Risk of fire from short circuit
In the event of a short circuit in the 12 volt pow-
er supply, very high currents can flow and cause
cable fires
Replace fuses only with the system discon-
nected from power supply
DANGER
Risk of fire if an
unsuitable fuse is used
May be replaced only with a Truma original
part
The fuses (Fig 6-3) are located on the electronics
(Fig 6-2) beneath the connector cover (Fig 6-1)
Disconnect all poles from the battery
Remove the connector cover
Replace the fuses
Replace faulty fuses only with Truma original parts
Replace the connector cover
