7.4 System filling / emptying
Before performing the operations listed below,
be sure to have connected both the flow and
return pipes (see par. 7.3.1).
To fill the system, the options are as follows:
Connect a water pipe coming from the aqueduct
to the filling fitting (K), open the relief valve (B)
(Fig. 23), open the filling tap (l), thus allowing the
water to flow until the appliance is completely
full (Fig. 26). Close the relief valve and wait for
the minimum operating pressure (1 bar) to be
reached, which can be checked from the pres-
sure gauge (p) (Fig. 28).

In the event that the domestic system is equipped
with a manual or automatic top-up system, the
appliance can be loaded through the flow and
return pipes. To achieve this:
• Open the relief valve (B) (Fig. 23), open the by-
pass tap in the anti-condensation valve (O),
thus making the water flow from the system
until the boiler is completely filled (Fig. 26).
H
Close the relief valve and wait for the minimum
operating pressure (1 bar) to be reached, which
Fig. 25
can be checked from the pressure gauge (p)
(Fig. 28).
• Close the bypass tap present in the anti con-
densation valve (Fig. 27).
• Close the filling tap (l).
