Configuration 1 - Room thermostat
External thermostat

Parts included in the boiler
In configuration 1 the appliance is controlled by
an external thermostat (or chronothermostat)
which turns the appliance on and off according
to the set temperature.
When the temperature is satisfied the thermo-
stat opens the circuit and switches the boiler
off. The boiler restarts automatically when the
temperature drops below the value set on the
external thermostat (closed circuit).
This configuration can also be used to turn
the appliance on and off manually or in a pro-
grammed way (with the Timer function active)
without the aid of an external thermostat, to do
this it is necessary to put a bridge between the
two terminals.
If the thermostat allows scheduled
programming, to avoid overlapping
operation time slots, it is advisable to
deactivate the appliance timer by set-
ting it to OFF.

In this configuration the appliance
turns off when the external thermo-
stat is satisfied, or it will modulate the
power (to keep consumption to a mini-
mum) when the set water temperature
is reached.
The appliance also turns off in the event that the
water temperature continues to increase despite
the modulation. In this case the appliance only
switches on again if the temperature difference
between the set water value and the real one is
greater than 20°C.
It is therefore advisable, in this configuration, to
set the water temperature to a high value (e.g.
70°C).
