OF THESE REQUIREMENTS:
• MASS is between 1.8–15.9 kg (4–35 lb)
AND
• Height is BETWEEN 43–76 cm (17–30 in)
AND
• Top of child's head is a minimum of 2.5 cm (1 in) below the top of the
Infant Carrier.
Rear Facing is Safest
Following the American Academy of Pediatrics' recommendations for safe transportation of
infants, we recommend keeping your child rear facing in a properly installed infant seat until they
outgrow the maximum weight or height for the seat. Visit
Academy's recommendation.
Use the CYBEX Aton 2 until your child reaches the maximum weight or height limits. Because not
all children have the same shapes and sizes, DO NOT USE the Aton 2 when the top of the child's
head is less than 2.5 cm (1 inch) from the top of the Infant Carrier. This allows for proper
protection during a crash.
After your child outgrows the Aton 2, keep your child rear-facing in a convertible seat as long as
possible, according to the manufacturer's specifications, before turning them around to ride
Forward Facing.
