Steps to follow
Follow these steps when battery is installed in vehicle. A spark near battery may

Follow these steps when battery is outside vehicle. A spark near the battery may

Do not place the battery on the charger.
Do not disconnect the plug connection while the charging process is running.
Before disconnecting or unplugging the charging plug, end the charging pro-
cess by pressing the "Pause/Start" button.
Position AC and DC cords to reduce risk of damage moving parts.
Stay clear of fan blades, belts, pulleys, and other parts that can cause injury
to persons.
Connect charger AC supply cord to electric outlet.
Connect the DC plugs as far away from the battery as possible.
Do not disconnect the plug connection while the charging process is running.
Before disconnecting or unplugging the charging plug, end the charging pro-
cess by pressing the "Pause/Start" button.
Do not face battery when making final connection.
Connect the DC plugs as far away from the battery as possible.
Connect charger AC supply cord to electrical outlet.
When disconnecting charger, always do so in reverse sequence of connecting
procedure and break first connection while standing as far away from battery
as practical.
A (marine) boat battery must be taken out and charged on dry land. Charging
the battery on board requires special equipment designed for use at sea.
