Setting up the Parental Control
The Parental Control function works in conjunction with DVDs that have
been assigned a rating which helps you control the types of DVDs that your
► family watches. There are up to 8 rating levels on a disc.
1. With the DVD Recorder in Stop mode/No Disc mode, press the MENU
button.
2. Press the ▲▼ buttons to select Setup, then press the OK or ► button.
3. Press the ▲▼ buttons to select Parental Control, then press the OK or ►
button.
The 'Create the password' message will be displayed.
4. Enter the 4-digit password using the 0 to 9 buttons on the remote control.
The 'Confi rm the password' message will be displayed. Enter your password
again.
5. Press the OK or ► button to select Password.
6. Press the ▲▼ buttons to select On, then press the OK or ► button.
▌ About the Rating Level
1. Press the ▲▼ buttons to select Rating Level.
2. Press the OK or ► button.

The rating level will be displayed.

3. Press the ▲▼ buttons to select Rating Level you want, then press the OK or

► button.
For example, if you select up to Level 6, discs that contain Level 7, 8 will not
play. A larger number indicates that the programme is intended for adult
use only.
About the Change Password

1. Press the ▲▼ buttons to select Change Password.
2. Press the OK or ► button.

The 'Enter the password' message will be displayed.

3. Enter the 4-digit password using the 0 to 9 buttons on the remote control.

The 'Confi rm the password' message will be displayed. Enter your password
again.

If you forgot your password, remove the disc. Press and hold down
the PROG (
simultaneously for more than 5 seconds. All setting including the
password will revert to the factory setting.
