EXP ST Exponential, Steering Wheel Function
The menu point EXP ST exponential steering wheel
function allows the user to fine-tune the model car's
steering characteristics around the neutral position
without affecting maximum steering travel.
In most cases EXP (exponential function) is used to
provide softer control around the neutral position.
However, the XS-6 FM RACE system provides both
directions of exponential: positive (+ normal) and nega-
tive (- increased sensitivity around the neutral position).

Selecting the Exponential function
1. Switch the transmitter ON.
2. Press the MODE button repeatedly until EXP ST
appears on the screen.
3. Use the CHANNEL button to select EXP ST.
4. Use the DEC- button to set the desired exponential
percentage 1 - 100%, to achieve fine control around
the zero point of the steering servo.
5. Use the INC+ button to set an aggressive control curve
if you require large travel around the centre point of
the steering servo.
6. Press the INC+ and DEC- buttons simultaneously to
switch off the Exponential function and revert to line-
ar (LN). The steering servo works in normal linear
fashion if you select the LN option.
7. Press the MODE and CHANNEL buttons
simultaneously, or switch the transmitter OFF/ON
briefly, to store the set values in the Set-up Menu
memory, and to revert to the base screen display.
