Normal operating display
When you switch on the transmitter, the LCD screen
shows the following display. We refer to this as the nor-
mal operating display.
Notes: if any electronic trim button is pressed while this
display is on the screen, the Direct Trim Mode display
then appears automatically. See the section "Trim Mode"
for more information on this.

Lithium battery back-up system
If the Backup Error display appears, carry out this
procedure: press the MODE and CHANNEL buttons
simultaneously (= ENTER) to back-up all program data.
If you do not do this, all your programmed settings will
be lost. If the same display appears a second time, the
transmitter requires an overhaul by a GRAUPNER Ser-
vice Centre.
To be on the safe side it makes good sense to write
down all the programming data in a small table, and
store this as a permanent data back-up.

Low battery voltage
If the total voltage of the 8 AA cells falls below a value of
8.5 Volts the BAT display appears on the screen,
accompanied by a continuous warning sound. If this
occurs, you must replace or recharge the batteries before
you continue operating your model. The low battery
voltage display is active in all operating modes.

Lithium battery back-up display
Your XS-6 FM RACE radio control system is fitted with a
lithium battery back-up system which has a life of five
years. This system protects and maintains the
programmed data if the transmitter battery voltage falls
below 8.5 V, or if the transmitter NC battery is removed
or becomes totally discharged due to prolonged storage.
After five years it will be necessary to send the transmitter
to a GRAUPNER Service Centre to have the lithium
battery replaced.
