b. Cleaning the exterior
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
It is important to ensure that no debris and dried
grass residues accumulate in the upper part of
the cutting-means assembly to maintain the best
level of efficiency and safety of the machine.
To clean the upper part of the
cutting-means assembly:
• lower the cutting-means assembly
completely (position "1");
• blow with a jet of compressed air (fig. 29).

9. OCCASIONAL MAINTENANCE
9.1 SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
You must go to a specialized Service Centre
or contact your Dealer if the following are
malfunctioning:
- the neutral position of the drive pedal (service
brake);
- the engagement and disengagement of the
Action
EN - 22
cutting means;
- the drive engagement in forward or reverse gear.
9.2 CUTTING-MEANS ASSEMBLY
/ CUTTING MEANS
9.2.1 Aligning the cutting-means assembly
The cutting-means assembly should be properly
adjusted to obtain an evenly mown lawn (fig. 18).
If mowing is uneven, check the
tyre pressure (par. 7.1.3).
If this is not sufficient to achieve an even
cut, please contact your Dealer to adjust the
alignment of the cutting-means assembly.
9.2.2 Cutting means
A badly sharpened cutting means pulls at the
grass and causes the lawn to turn yellow.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Always have damaged, bent or worn
cutting means, along with their own screws,
replaced in pairs to maintain balance.
CAUTION
All work on the cutting means (disassembly,
sharpening, balancing, repairing, reassembly
and/or replacing) are demanding jobs that
require special skills as well as special
tools. For safety reasons, these jobs are
best carried out at a Specialised Centre.
WARNING
Always use original cutting means bearing
the code indicated in the "Technical Data".
NOTE
Given product evolution, the cutting means
listed in the "Technical Data" table may be
replaced in time with others having similar
interchangeable and operating safety features.
