3. Shake it to remove grass
cuttings and soil residue.
4. Refit the grass catcher (par. 5.8).
5. Close the grass catcher (par. 5.8) and wash
the inside of the cutting means (par. 8.4.4-a).
6. Remove the grass catcher (par.
5.8) and rinse it carefully.
8.4.5 Cleaning the cutting
means assembly
Clean cutting means assembly thoroughly
to remove any grass residue or debris.

Keep people or animals away from
the surrounding area when cleaning
the cutting means assembly .
a. Cleaning the interiors
When washing the inside of the cutting
means assembly and the discharge chute,
the machine must be on firm ground with:
• the grass catcher or the rear
discharge guard mounted in place
(for rear collection models only)
• the side discharge chute mounted (for
models with side discharge only);
• the operator seated;
• the cutting means assembly
in the lowest position;
• the transmission in neutral;
• the cutting means engaged;
• Alternatively, connect a water tube
to the dedicated coupling (fig. 28.A
fig. 29.A), allowing water to flow
through each cutting means for a few
minutes, while they are in motion.
b. Cleaning the exterior
SAFETY INSTRUCTION
Do not allow debris and dried grass to
accumulate in the upper part of the cutting
means assembly in order to maintain maximum
machine efficiency and safety levels.
To clean the upper part of the
cutting means assembly:
• fully lower the cutting means assembly;
• blow with a jet of compressed air (fig. 30).

8.6 NUTS AND BOLTS
• Keep all nuts, bolts and screws tight to be sure
the equipment is in safe working condition.
9. OCCASIONAL MAINTENANCE
9.1 SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS
SAFETY INSTRUCTION
You must immediately contact your Authorised
Service Centre or Dealer if the following
malfunctions are found:
- the neutral position of the drive pedal (service
brake)
- cutting means engage and disengage functions
- switching the drive to forward or reverse gears.
9.2
CUTTING MEANS ASSEMBLY

9.2.1 Aligning the cutting means assembly
The cutting means assembly should be properly
adjusted to obtain an evenly mown lawn (fig. 19).
If mowing is uneven, check the
tyre pressure (par. 7.1.3).
If this is not sufficient to achieve an even
cut, please contact your Dealer to adjust the
alignment of the cutting means assembly.
9.2.2 Cutting means
Badly sharpened cutting means pull at the
grass and cause the lawn to turn yellow.

Lubricate the lifting points
with oil (fig. 31).
Remove the wheels. Lubricate the
axles with grease (Fig. 39.E).
