5.1
Maintenance safety notes
Before housing covers, plugs and cables (including those on potential-free contacts) are opened they must be
switched voltage-free. Work on electrical components may only be carried out by specialist staff (2.2).
If the potential-free contact is connected to an external device / connection please pay attention to the
manufacturer's operating instructions for this device / connection.
No climbing on electrical components, pipe connections or cables during maintenance work.
Risk caused by toxic and hazardous vapours, gases and substances (e. g. bacteria, viruses). If the lifting station is
located in an inspection chamber, any necessary work must always be done by specialist staff (see 2.2).
After all maintenance work, carry out a function test on the lifting station (see 3.9.2).
5.2
Maintenance intervals
Maintenance of lifting stations
The lifting station has to be maintained regularly by a technical specialist (standard-compliant inspection and
maintenance acc. to DIN EN 12056-4). The intervals must not exceed:
- 3 months for systems in commercial use
- 6 months for systems in multi-family homes
- 1 year for systems in single-family homes
