Warning! Before removing
A
the grass box, switch the
motor off and wait until the cutting
tool has come to a complete stand-
still.
To remove the grass box, release
the safety gripper (fig. B pos. 6),
the motor switches itself off.
The grass box can be removed at
the handle with one hand.
9. Maintenance, care, storage
You can prevent accidents and
failure of parts by checking your
lawnmower regularly (check that
the bolted connections are secure,
check for cracks and damage)
and by replacing damaged or
worn parts.
Repairs should only be undertaken
by authorised specialists on safety
grounds.
Warning! Disconnect the
A
spark plug connector before
carrying out any maintenance work!
Otherwise there is a risk of injury.
Replace defective silencers.
For safety reasons, always replace
worn or damaged parts.
Do not clean the appliance under
running water, especially not under
high pressure as this can cause
personal injury and property
damage.
Store the appliance in a dry place
where it is protected from frost.
The storage place should not be
accessible by children.
Do not turn the motor onto the
spark plug or carburettor side.
Never use replacement parts or
accessories not supplied by the
manufacturer.
Maintenance

Note:
In order to guarantee a good filling
result, you should clean the grass
box and especially the ventilation
grid after use.

Carry out servicing work such as
the cleaning of the spark plugs and
air filter, etc. in accordance with

Oil Change
Warning! Always change
A
the oil when the motor is
warm, the fuel tank is empty and
closed with the fuel cap.
The first oil change is to be carried
out after 5 hours of operation.
Hereafter, an oil change is neces-
sary every 50 hours of operation.
Should the 50 hours of operation
not be reached within a period
of one year, you should under all
circumstances change the oil at the
end of the season. To do so, open
the oil filler neck and tilt the appli-
ance so that the waste oil is able
to run into the collecting pan.
The used oil is to be disposed of
in accordance with the local regu-
lations. Place the appliance in
a horizontal position and fill the
motor with 10 W 30 motor oil.
Warning! It is imperative
A
that the motor is left to cool
down as the motor surface has
some hot areas.
Servicing the motor
In order to ensure a trouble-free
running of the motor, your appli-
ance should be inspected by an
authorised workshop (adjusting
valves, etc.).
After emptying the grass box,
replace it in the retainer provided.
Warning! Only replace the
A
grass box when the motor
is switched off and the cutting tool
is stationary.
Care
Residue dirt and grass can best
be removed immediately after com-
pletion of the work. Remove the
spark plug connector and tilt the
appliance so that it is not lying
on the same side as the spark plug
or carburettor respectively. Clean it
with a brush.
Storage
Warning! Allow the motor
A
to cool down before carry-
ing the appliance and placing it in
enclosed spaces. If there is petrol
in the tank, never store the appli-
ance in a building where it is pos-
sible that petrol fumes can come
into contact with fire or sparks.
The guide bars can be folded
together as a space-saving
measure. Place the control lever
(fig. B pos. 3) to Position P (Park)
so that the blades are unable to
make contact with the ground.
Loosen the tension bar handles
(fig. A pos.1) and the jointed ten-
sion handles (fig. A pos.2) until
you are able to fold the guide bar
together as shown in (fig. E).
Warning! When folding
A
together ensure that the
cable and the Bowden pull wire
are not bent!
