5. Proper Use
The Brill lawn aerator is designed
for working on lawns and grass-
land in private house and hobby
gardens and is not designed for
industrial use in public green
spaces, parks, sporting locations,
alongside roads and in the
agricultural and forestry sectors.
6. Assembly

Fitting the Guide Handle
The Brill lawn aerator packed in
a pre-assembled state. Remove the
implement from the packaging,
pull the Z-shaped, folded drag links
apart and tighten the cross-tie
7. Putting into operation
Before use, always carry out
a visual inspection in order to
determine whether the cutting tools,
fixing bolts and the complete cut-
ting unit are worn or damaged.
A worn or damaged cutting tool
should always be replaced in order
to avoid an imbalance (see:
Maintenance, Care and Storage).
Only aerate during daylight or
with good artificial lighting. The
use on wet grass is to be avoided
where possible. Always ensure that
the implement is well and securely
positioned on inclines.
Only move the implement at walk-
ing speed. Take special care
when turning the aerator around or
pulling it in your direction. Bring

Keep these operating instructions
in a safe place.
Adherence to the instructions for
use enclosed by Brill is a precondi-
tion for the proper use of the equip-
ment. The instructions for use also
include the operating, care and
maintenance instructions.

to be used as a motor hoe and for
the levelling out of uneven patches,
such as molehills.
Suspending the starter cable
Pull the starter handle (fig. B
pos. 11) at the motor and suspend
the starter cable in the holding
device on the guide bar from
underneath as shown (fig. B).
Protection of the environment,
disposal
The packaging material
is made ao recyclable
materials. Dispose of
packaging materials in accordance
with regulations.
When the engine is running, keep
your hands and feet out of the way
of the interior housing and grass
discharge.
Always wear closed footwear and
long trousers. Do not aerate when
barefoot or wearing light sandals.
Do not change the controller setting
of the engine and do not overturn
the controller.
Warning! The motor is

delivered without any oil
in the crank housing. Therefore,
before use it is imperative that the
motor crank housing be filled with
10 W 30 motor oil. To do so,
place the appliance in a horizontal
