BRACE
Description/purpose
This device is an ankle brace providing joint stabilisation.
The device is intended only for the treatment of the indications listed
and for patients whose measurements correspond to the sizing table.
Composition
Polyamide - Polyester - Neoprene - Elastane - Polyurethane - Stainless
steel.
Properties/Mode of action
Stabilising ankle brace to provide immobilisation, incorporating rigid
frame and elasticated webs to give stability and immobilisation to the
ankle.
Fast, durable and micro-adjustable Boa Fit System.
A slim product that will fit easily inside a shoe.
This is a bilateral product.
Indications
Ankle immobilisation.
Moderate to severe ankle sprain.
Joint laxity/chronic instability prevention during sport activities
resumption.
Tendinopathy treatment.
Conservative treatment of Achilles tendon injuries.
Contraindications
Do not use the product if the diagnosis has not been confirmed.
Do not apply the product in direct contact with broken skin.
Do not use in the event of known allergy to any of the components.
History of venous or lymphatic disorders.
Precautions
Read the instruction leaflet carefully.
Verify the product's integrity before every use.
Do not use the product if it is damaged.
Choose the appropriate size to fit the patient, referring to the size
chart. For hygiene, security and performance reasons, do not re-use
the product for another patient.
Check the condition of the affected limb daily (with particular attention
for patients with sensory deficit).

Consult a healthcare professional and stop using the device:
- In case of discomfort, significant hindrance, pain, abnormal
sensations,
- In case of changes in the device's performance.
Do not bring the product into direct contact with greasy substances
(ointment, cream, etc.).
Do not wear the product in a medical imaging machine.
Do not wear the product when driving a vehicle.
The systematic use of a long sock is recommended when wearing the
device.
It is recommended to adequately tighten the device to achieve
support/immobilisation without restricting blood circulation.
If the product comes into contact with water, make sure to remove the
lateral straps. Dry out the fabric part and wipe the stays thoroughly
using a dry cloth.

STABILISING ANKLE
Undesirable side-effects
This device can cause skin reactions (redness, itching, burns,
blisters,etc.) or wounds of various degrees of severity.
Possible risk of venous thrombosis.
Any serious event relating to the device must be reported to the
manufacturer and competent authority in the Member State in which
the user and/or the patient is based.
Instructions for use/Application
It is recommended that the product be worn in a closed sports shoe
when practicing sport, and at night for protection in order to limit and
avoid sudden movements.
Before putting the ankle brace on, make sure the laces are completely
unfastened.
1. Fitting the ankle brace: Slide the foot inside the ankle brace.
Ensure that the heel is resting inside the opening provided at the
rear of the product for this purpose. ❶ ❷
2. Fastening the ankle brace: Tighten the ankle brace using the Boa
Fit System closure system; to do this, push the wheel in until you
hear a 'click', then turn clockwise until the correct level of support
is obtained. ❸
3. Fitting the straps: Take a strap in each hand, then pass them over
each other across the upper foot ❹ . Wrap around the ankle, cross
the two straps over again around the rear of the heel, and attach the
self-fastening tabs to the upper portion of the ankle-brace fabric ❺ .
Verify the secure grip of the self-fastening tabs over the fabric
area by pressing on the self-fastening part. Do not place the self-
fastening tabs over the black plastic portion. ❻
4. Releasing the ankle brace: Pull on the wheel until you hear the
'click' to unfasten the laces. ❼
5. Fitting inside a shoe: Once the ankle brace is in position, slide the
foot carefully inside a closed shoe and fasten the shoe's closure
mechanism. ❽
In the event of any discomfort at the ankle-bone area, it is possible
to change the position of the stays: Detach the self-fastening tabs
from the black fabric area, take hold of the rigid metal part and
remove it. Slide the stays above or below the stitching located
either side of the ankle brace. ❾
Care/maintenance
Product can be washed in accordance with the instructions shown
on this leaflet and on the label. Make sure to remove the lateral stays
before washing. Replace in the original location before next use. Close
the self-fastening tabs and close the product (Boa Fit System) before
washing. If possible, use a washing net. Dry in a ventilated area, away
from sources of heat.
Storage
Store at room temperature, preferably in the original packaging.
Disposal
Dispose of in accordance with local regulations.
