3. General information
The scale is a measuring instrument. Draughts, vibrations, rapid temperature
f
changes and sunlight can affect the weighing result. Avoid high humidity,
vapours, aggressive liquids and heavy soiling.
This unit is radio interference suppressed in accordance with the applicable
f
EC directive. However, under extreme electrostatic and electromagnetic influ-
ences, e.g. when operating a radio or mobile phone in the immediate vicinity of
the unit, the display value may be affected. After the interference has ceased,
the product can be used again as intended; if necessary, it must be switched
on again.

3.5 Cleaning

Before any cleaning, the scale must be disconnected from the power supply. The
appliance may only be cleaned with a damp cloth. Under no circumstances should
water be allowed to enter the unit. Disinfectant may only be used on the display's
membrane keypad.
Clean the scale as necessary with a household cleaner or commercially available
disinfectant.
Spraying the appliance and the connector plug is not permitted.

3.6 Maintenance and service

The metrological control was carried out during manufacture by initial calibration.
Further regular metrological controls (recalibrations) are to be carried out by the
responsible verification authorities in accordance with the respective national re-
gulations.
This scale may only be opened and repaired by trained service partners authorised
by Soehnle Industrial Solutions. If the scale does not is not working as intended,
there is a suspicion of damage. The scale must then be taken to a service partner
authorised by Soehnle Industrial Solutions. Only original spare parts may be used
for repairs by an authorised service partner. The original parts are described in the
service documentation with order number.
