1. GENERAL INFORMATION

1.1 Intended use

The Soehnle Professional 9360 retail scale is designed to be used for weighing goods and
their price calculation. This scale is intended for non-approved applications Class III and for
non-approved applications within the EC. It corresponds to the model as described in the
certificate of type approval as well as the applicable requirements of the EC Directives
2009/23/EC, 2004/108/EC, 2006/95/EC and the European standard EN 45501.

1.2 Safety instructions

Before putting the device into use, please read carefully the information given in the user
manual. It contains important instructions for installation, proper use and maintenance of the
device.
The manufacturer is not liable if the following instructions are not followed:
When using electrical components subject to increased safety requirements, always comply
with the appropriate regulations. Never carry out service work on an energized device.
Improper installation will void the warranty.
The electrical connections must comply with the ratings printed on the power supply unit.
The devices are designed for use in buildings. Observe the permitted ambient temperatures
for operation (Technical data). The device meets the requirements for electromagnetic
compatibility. Do not exceed the maximum values specified in the applicable standards.
If you experience any problems, contact your Soehnle Professional service partner.

1.3 Cleaning

For cleaning a damp cloth and commercially available detergent is sufficient.
Do not use abrasive agents.

1.4 Disposal

Batteries and accumulators that contain hazardous substances
are marked with a struck through waste bin symbol and may not be
disposed of in the household waste. As a consumer, you are legally obliged to
return used batteries and accumulators for proper disposal. You can hand in your
used batteries and accumulators at public collection points in your district or sales
outlets where batteries of this type are sold. Batteries containing hazardous
substances are marked as follows:
Pb = battery contains lead, Cd = battery contains cadmium, Hg = battery contains
mercury.
