3.2 Intended use

The medical device is used to determine the weight of lying infants and may only be
used for this purpose. Any other use is prohibited. This scale is intended for use in
legal metrology. The scale complies with the provisions of the applicable European
directives and regulations.
Notifications of faults that could endanger the baby and of faults that lead to the
falsification of measurement results must be made in writing to the manufacturer's
medical product advisor. These instructions for use are an integral part of the device.
The exact observance of these instructions is a prerequisite for the intended use and
the correct operation of the device.
Please take care not to place a permanent load on the scale. In addition, shocks and
overloading of the scale that exceed the specified maximum load must be avoided at
all costs. This can damage the scale.
