6.13 IP camera with digital data
transmission
If the camera has a RS-485 output refer to
the relative chapter (6.14 Connection of
the IP camera's RS-485 output, page 27).
CDS installation type (Cable Distribution
System). The installation is type TNV-1, do
not connect it to SELV circuits.
To connect the net cable a UTP is required: Category
5E or 6A, 4 pair, maximum length 100m (328ft).
Join the Ethernet cable end-to-end to an RJ45
connector.
Direct crimping is required if the product is
connected to a hub or switch. Cross crimping is
required if the product is connected directly to a PC.

6.14 Connection of the IP
camera's RS-485 output
If you are using an IP camera with output RS-485
it is possible to use this communication channel
to send telemetry commands. (Tab. 13, page 29).
The commands are sent from the camera to the
CPU board. The camera must support the PELCO
D (2400baud, 9600baud) or VIDEOTEC MACRO
protocols (9600baud, 38400baud).
Connect the camera's RS-485 output to the CPU
board's J12 connector.
