11 Preparing for installation

11.1 Create a core hole

NOTE!
Failure to seal due to incorrect installation!
Improper installation can result in damage.
• Diamond core bits for dry cutting are available
(e.g. from Hilti) for basements with masonry
walls. Handheld drills can be used.
• Hammer drills with core drills cannot be used
in the no-dig scenario due to the risk of exten-
sive spalling of the basement wall with exterior
waterproofi ng.
• All surfaces must be clean, fi rm and free of dust
and grease.
