7.3 Expressing your breast milk
In case of pain or insufficient milk expression:
• Do not hold the pump set by the bottle. This can lead to compression and blockage of
the milk ducts and engorgement.
• Do not try to express with vacuum that is too high and uncomfortable (painful). The pain,
along with potential breast and nipple trauma, may decrease milk output.
• Contact your healthcare professional or breastfeeding specialist if you can express only
minimal or no milk or if expression is painful.
Make sure that the tubing is not kinked or pinched while pumping.
3. Press the On/Pause/Off button
Æ The stimulation phase begins and the status light is flashing.
4. Adjust the vacuum with the Increase vacuum
find a comfortable level.
5. As soon as your milk begins to flow, press the Let-down button
phase.
Æ The expression phase begins and the status light is on steadily.
Æ If the Let-down button

6. Adjust the vacuum with the Increase vacuum
find your Maximum Comfort Vacuum™ (for Maximum Comfort Vacuum™ see chapter 8).
7. When your pumping session is over, press the On/Pause/Off button

Æ The breast pump stops automatically after 30 minutes if there is no user interaction with
the pump.
