e) Connecting the battery to the vehicle
Switch the vehicle off using the on/off switch (A) (move
the switch to the "O" position, refer to the markings next
to the switch).
The on/off switch (A) is located on the bottom of the vehi-
cle (see right-hand image).
To prevent the wheels from moving suddenly
and losing control, place the vehicle on a suit-
able surface (or a start box) so that the wheels
can move freely in the event of a fault.
Do not reach into the drive components or hold
the wheels.
Connect the battery to the vehicle. The battery connec-
tor (B) and connection socket (C) are protected against
reverse polarity (red cable = positive/+, black cable =
negative/-).
Slide the battery connector (B) into the connection socket
(C) until it clicks into place.
f) Switching on the vehicle
Switch on the remote control (see sections 10. b) and 10. c). The red LED (7) on the remote control will
flash slowly (1x flash, pause, 1x flash etc.) to indicate that the remote control is attempting to connect to the
receiver.
If the LED flashes two times followed by a pause, the batteries are nearly empty and must be replaced.
Release the throttle/brake lever (3) on the remote control so that it sits in the neutral position.
Switch on the vehicle by moving the switch on the bottom of the vehicle to the "I" position (see diagram in section 10e).
The white LEDs on the vehicle will turn on.
If the LEDs do not turn on, the connection plug on the receiver/control unit may have become loose. See
section 11 for details.
Wait for a few seconds (leave the throttle/brake lever in the neutral position) until the receiver/control unit has com-
pleted its test and the red LED (7) on the remote control stops flashing. This indicates that the remote control is paired
with the receiver.
Check the drive and steering functions. For example, move the steering wheel (2) left or right, or carefully move the
throttle/brake lever.
If the vehicle does not stay stationary when the throttle/brake lever is in the neutral position, adjust the
"THROTTLE TRIM" control dial (9) accordingly.
