10. Operation

a) Attaching the spare tyre
The replacement tyre can be screwed to the back of the vehicle. A screw and a screwdriver are included for this
purpose. Do not use any force when tightening the screw.
b) Inserting batteries into the remote control
Open the battery compartment on the remote control (slide off the battery compartment cover) and insert two conven-
tional batteries or fully charged rechargeable batteries. Ensure that the batteries are inserted in the correct polarity
(observe plus/+ and minus/- symbols on the battery compartment and batteries). Replace the battery compartment
cover.
c) Setting up the remote control
Move the "STEERING TRIM" (6) and "THROTTLE TRIM" (9) control dials to the central position. Turn on the remote
control using the on/off switch (8) (move the switch to the "ON" position).
The red LED (7) on the remote control will flash slowly (1x flash, pause, 1x flash etc.) to indicate that the
remote control is attempting to connect to the receiver.
If the LED flashes two times followed by a pause, the batteries are nearly empty and must be replaced.
d) Inserting the battery into the vehicle
Warning!
Before connecting the battery to the vehicle, switch on the remote control (see sections 10. b) and 10. c).
Important!
This vehicle is exclusively designed for use with a 2-cell li-ion rechargeable battery (7.4 V rated voltage).
Using a battery with more cells may make the speed controller overheat and cause a fire. It may also
overload and damage the vehicle drive (e.g. differential), which will void the warranty/guarantee!
Insert the battery into the compartment on the back of the
vehicle (A).
If the connection plug (B) does not protrude from the back
of the vehicle next to the battery compartment, you will
need to raise the chassis (see section 11 for details).
