AIM SafeLight™ Fiber Optic Cable, 5.0 mm × 10 ft (3.05 m)
Product Description/Intended Use
The AIM (Advanced Imaging Modality) SafeLight™ Fiber Optic Cable, 5.0 mm × 10 ft
(3.05 m) is intended to transmit light from a light source to an endoscope during
endoscopic procedures. The cable features Electronic Scope-Sensing Technology
(ESST), which detects when the cable is disconnected from the SafeLight scope
adapter, and it automatically powers off a compatible Stryker light source to prevent
burns and fires.
The AIM SafeLight™ cable is compatible with the following Stryker light sources:

The cable requires a SafeLight scope adapter to connect to different brands of
endoscopes. See the Setup section for the types of SafeLight adapters that are

Indications
The cable is indicated for use in minimally invasive surgical procedures where an
endoscope and a Stryker light source are used.
