Installing the Base

Push the base firmly into the
vehicle seat and then pull the
LCS adjuster strap to tighten.
Close the lock-off plate over

the webbing.

Place the infant carrier into
the base and press down until
a click is heard.

Pull up on the carrier handle to
confirm attachment.

Route any loose webbing from
the LCS adjuster through the
lock-off.
Press firmly on the lock-off

plate, and then close both
lock-off tabs.

Verify that all connections are secure. Check that:
The LCS strap is not twisted.

The lower connectors are properly aligned.

The excess LCS webbing has been secured in the lock-off.

The infant carrier handle is rotated into any locked position.

The infant carrier is secure.

If the base and infant carrier can be moved more than 2.5 cm (1 in.)
front-to-back or side-to-side at the LCS strap path, repeat installation or
choose another seating location.

Check the recline angle.
IMPORTANT: If a correction is required, do not turn the recline
adjustment knob until tension has been removed from the LCS strap.
NOTE : It may be necessary to install and uninstall the base more than
once to achieve the proper recline angle. The vehicle should be parked
on a level surface.

are within the level lines.
