9 Troubleshooting

Fault
No suction / reduced suc-
tion performance.
Dust is blown out of the
appliance.
The appliance switches
itself off or on inadvert-
ently or the user receives
electric shocks (static dis-
charge).

Test each of the functions.
Possible cause
The dust / disposal bag is full.
No fluted filter fitted.
The fluted filter is clogged with
dirt or dust.
Blockage in the hose, vacuum
cleaner or power tool dust
hood.
The seal between the edge of
the container and the vacuum
cleaner top section is dirty or
defective.
Hole in the suction hose.
The filter cover seal is defect-
ive.
The draining hose is not closed
properly.
The fluted filter is not fitted cor-
rectly.
The fluted filter is damaged.
The filter seal is damaged.
The vacuum cleaner top sec-
tion is not fitted correctly.
Electrostatic charge is not dis-
sipated correctly; the appli-
ance is connected to an un-
earthed/ungrounded power
outlet.
Remedy
Change the dust / disposal
bag.

Fit a fluted filter.
Clean the fluted filter thor-
oughly or replace it if neces-
sary.

Clean the hose and dust hood.
Clean the seal with a cloth or
replace it.
Fit a new hose.
Have the appliance repaired by

Fit the vacuum cleaner top
section correctly.
