14. USB Interface Cable for the Flight Simulator
Switch on your computer (at least operating system Windows
XP recommended) and wait until the operating system is
completely booted.
Ensure that the rechargeable batteries of the transmitter are
charged ort hat fresh batteries are inserted and switch on
the transmitter.
Connect the interface (1) to a free USB port of your computer
(USB1.1 or USB2.0).
Windows detects new hardware and installs the latter (driver
for joystick/game port are comprised in Windows XP).
Afterwards, the remote control functions like a conventional
joystick.
Place the CD included in the delivery in the corresponding drive of your computer. Then install the software. A new
symbol should be created on the desktop to start the software.
The CD comprises a simple flight simulator with which you can effect your first flight trials.
The "FMS" flight simulator is freeware by Roman and Michael Möller. It can be downloaded free of charge
from the internet at http://n.ethz.ch/student/mmoeller/fms/index_e.html (version 07/10).
Please note that the following setting procedure described below may vary with more recent versions of the software
or of Windows.
Start the FMS software. In the menu bar, under the option
"Control", select "analogue control".
