d) Setting the Swash Plate Control
The swash plate (1) is controlled via two micro servos. The
right servo (2) (seen in flight direction) controls the roll
function and the left servo (3) controls the nod function.
When the control lever and the trim control for the roll and
nod functions are in their centre positions, the two servo
levers (4) must be aligned horizontally and must not be tilted.
If the servo lever is badly misadjusted, the holding screw
can be loosened and the lever can be reattached adjusted
by one "tooth".
The two control rods (5) must be set so that the model shows
no tendency to drift always into the same direction when
the trim sliders for nodding and rolling are at their centre
positions. In this case, the swash plate must be aligned
horizontally.
After disconnecting the ball joint pans (6) at the swash plate,
you can adjust the rod length by twisting the joint pans.
For better illustration, the mechanics were removed from the fuselage for the photographs in figure 25.
Generally, it is easily possible to set the linkage rods for the swash plate with the mechanics installed as
well.
