12. Maintenance and Care
Clean the exterior of the model and the remote control only with a soft, dry cloth or brush. Never use any abrasive
cleaning agents or chemical solutions as these could damage the surfaces of the casings.
Check the mechanical parts of the model throughout at
regular intervals. All screwed connections should be tight
and should not loosen up due to vibrations of the helicopter.
Make sure that the grub screws in the top set collar (1) and
the bottom set collar (2) of the main rotor shaft have a tight
fit.
The two main gears of the drive (3) must be aligned cleanly
with the motor gears (4) and must not catch or have too
much clearance when turning.
Rotatable parts must turn easily but there must not be any play in the bearings.
When replacing mechanical parts use only original spares available from the manufacturer.
